To ensure that your PAT Tester continues to provide you with accurate results, it is recommended that you re-calibrate your PAT Tester annually.

What happens to your equipment?

PAT testers are amongst the most commonly used pieces of test equipment and are relied on by many businesses and users such as handymen/caretakers. Calibration is important because, after time and heavy use, PAT testers can deviate away from manufacturer standards and result in inaccurate readings, which could be the difference between a pass and a fail.

We test the output current of all possible earth bond ranges (if permittable). We also check the earth bond resistance of your PAT tester, the insulation resistance of the device, earth leakage and – where permittable – flash.

We are also able to test loads and all leads supplied with a PAT tester. We also perform an IEC lead and polarity test.

With a traceable calibration, you can prove your equipment was in working order and of standard when you tested the equipment should a fault occur.  Not getting regular calibrations could result in potentially dangerous consequences.

Please note that we also offer a UKAS standard calibration service which provides the highest level of accuracy as well as the confidence of traceable standards. All calibrations are carried out in an environmentally controlled laboratory to ensure the highest accuracy is achieved, by our team of skilled technicians.
